Get On Search Engines

Search engines and particularly Google are the default method for finding information online. Naturally, then its important to make sure that all the major search engines can find your blog and preferably "rate" it highly so that it comes close to the top of the results lists for relevant searches.
Search engines work by automatically following links on websites ("spidering") and creating a snapshot of each page they find. So, as long as there are links coming in and out of your site, the search engines should find you eventually. But you may as well manually submit your blog address t o the bigger search engines:
Google www.google.com/addurl.html
Yahoo submit.search.yahoo.com
By doing this with a day or two of submitting your blog, all of your entries and archives will be search - able via the web. This doesn't mean that you'll suddenly attract thousands of visitors: it simply means that you're now one of the millions of stars in a particular search engine's sky.
